Townsend Real Estate was founded in Fayetteville on November 15, 1983.  We started in a small office at 2415 Raeford Road.

Because of our strong belief in service, integrity, and a "can-do" attitude toward the real estate business, our company has prospered and grown.

Today our office location is 580 Executive Place.  We have served the public from this location since 1986.

Jimmy Townsend was born in Moore County on December 22, 1946.  He graduated from Laurinburg High School and East Carolina University in Greenville, NC, and majored in history.

He served in the US Navy from 1969 to 1971.

He is a past President of the Fayetteville Association of Realtors, a member of the North Carolina Association of Realtors and National Association of Realtors.

As Townsend Real Estate has grown, the entire enterprise remains committed to Jimmy Townsend's original goal: First-quality real estate service for the greater Fayetteville area.
